By using sweyoung.com, joining the SYE community or taking part in the hackathon, you agree to these terms. They are meant to keep things friendly and fair.

What SYE is

SYE is a community for young founders based in Sweden, and the organiser of the SYE Hackathon, which is open to builders from across Europe. We are not a registered financial service or advisor, and nothing on this site is investment, legal or financial advice.

Community conduct

If you join our community or events, please:

• Be respectful. No harassment, hate speech, spam or scams.
• Keep it real. Do not impersonate others or post illegal content.
• Respect privacy. Do not share other members' information without consent.

We may remove anyone who breaks these rules, in order to keep the community safe.

The hackathon

Places are limited and allocated by selection, so applying does not guarantee a place. Where we cover travel for a selected participant, the arrangements are agreed with that person directly. Projects are scored against the published rubric, and the judges' decision is final. What you submit must be your team's own work, and the traction you claim must be real. We may disqualify a submission that is not.

You keep all rights to what you build. By submitting, you allow us to show your project name, team and demo in coverage of the event, and to pass your submission to the judges for scoring.

Prizes are provided by our partners and are subject to those partners' own terms. Where a prize is software credit or a subscription, its value is stated at the provider's public list price and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Content and brand

The SYE name, logo and the design of this site belong to SYE and may not be copied or reused without permission. Links to third-party services are governed by those services' own terms.

No guarantees

We offer this site, the community and the event as is. We do our best, but we cannot promise the site is always available or error free, and we are not liable for any loss that comes from using it.
